In-Home OHS Assessment
In-Home Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Inspections
Creating Safe Workspaces for In-Home Support Services
At CleanAbilities Australia, we understand that homes are not just personal spaces—they are also workplaces for support staff, allied health professionals, and cleaners delivering essential in-home care. Our In-Home OHS Inspection Service is designed to identify risks, improve safety, and ensure the home environment supports the wellbeing of everyone involved.

Why In-Home OHS Matters
Homes used for NDIS or aged care service delivery must meet safe working conditions—not just for the people who live there, but for the professionals who support them. Risks such as clutter, poor hygiene, blocked accessways, and unstable fixtures can compromise both the quality of service and the safety of staff.
Our inspections help to:
- Identify environmental risks for in-home workers
- Support compliance with provider and insurance requirements
- Protect both participants and support staff from avoidable incidents
- Promote shared responsibility for ongoing safety and care delivery
What We Assess
Our OHS inspections are tailored to each home, but may include:
- Entry and exit safety
- Trip and fall hazards
- Access to emergency exits
- Hygiene ( including pest ) and biohazard risks
- Working areas for meal prep, cleaning, and personal care
- Storage and movement space for assistive equipment
- Cluttered or hoarded conditions that pose safety or fire risks
We also consider the psychological safety of entering potentially distressing environments, particularly for homes affected by hoarding, mental health challenges, or neglect.
A Supportive, Non-Judgemental Process
We approach every inspection with respect and compassion. Our aim is not to criticise or penalise, but to support a safer, more functional home for both the resident and the professionals delivering their care.
Following inspection, we provide:
- A clear, accessible report outlining concerns
- Photographic documentation (if appropriate and consented to)
- Suggested actions or referrals to remediate risks
- A copy for care providers, coordinators, or property owners if required
Ideal For
- NDIS and aged care providers
- SIL property owners and managers
- Allied health and cleaning service teams
- Case managers or support coordinators preparing care plans
- Families managing home-based care and support
Our Commitment
CleanAbilities Australia is committed to promoting safe, dignified, and effective in-home service delivery. By supporting OHS compliance through practical, respectful inspections, we help safeguard the people who care for others—because a safe environment is essential for quality care.
